Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader met chief patron of the party and leader of the opposition in parliament Raushon Ershad at The Westin Dhaka on Tuesday morning.

They discussed various issues including party’s unity, nomination of Rangpur city corporation polls mayoral candidate and the next general election.

GM Quader and Raushon Ershad agreed in the meeting that current Rangpur city mayor Mustafijur Rahman will contest in the upcoming city polls as their party candidate, sources said.

Raushon returned to Dhaka on Sunday after staying Bangkok for around four month for her treatment.
